Reggie frequently works with Somerset’s Health Care Team as a consultant. Reggie has
worked in the health care industry for more than 25 years in varying
leadership roles for both hospital and physician networks. Reggie’s
management career began when she served as the Director of
Cardiovascular/Neurological Services for Mount Carmel Health, an
Ohio based health system. For five years Reggie worked as the Vice
President of Operations for Ambulatory Management Services, a
physician practice management and consulting division of Trinity
Health. Reggie has an extensive background in physician network
operations, including practice acquisition, network start-up,
physician compensation, practice and network operations, financial
management, revenue cycle performance and assessment, budget and
proforma creation, physician governance and practice/network
financial turnaround. Day-to-day operations, revenue cycle
performance and network financial turnaround are of special interest
to Reggie, and she has provided extensive client work in these areas
throughout the United States. Reggie was instrumental to the
start-up and growth of an Ohio-based physician network that now
employs upwards of 125 physicians.

Mary is a supervisor in the Health
Care Team at Somerset. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and
has several years of experience in customer service, computer and
accounting related positions. Mary brings more than 14 years of
hands-on experience in the health products, construction and retail
products fields. Previously, she has managed and maintained computer
networks, supervised product orders and customer service and had
direct responsibility for all aspects of bookkeeping. Mary consults
with clients regarding their accounting software needs, including
selection, installation, implementation and training. Mary graduated
from Ivy Tech State College with a degree in Computer Science and
has completed additional course work.

Charlie frequently works with Somerset’s Health Care Team as a consultant. Earlier in his career, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of
Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana and now serves as President
Emeritus of Parkview. From 1975 to 1996, Charlie’s career was in
California where he participated in merging a 300-bed nonprofit
hospital with a 400-bed district hospital into Mills-Peninsula
Health Services. From there he was one of the four key CEOs that
created California Health System through a merger of four California
hospitals, which was later merged into Sutter Health. With these
many years of experience in the health care industry, Charlie’s
areas of expertise include strategic assessment, strategic
visioning, human resource assessment, communication of strategic and
operational imperatives, mediation and facilitation. Charlie is a
graduate of Emory & Henry College in Virginia and received a Master
of Hospital Administration from Washington University Medical School
in Missouri. He serves on the boards of directors of the Indiana
Hospital & Health Association, Fort Wayne/Allen County Economic
Development Alliance, Northeast Indiana Regional Marketing
Partnership and the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne. Charlie
is a member of the American Hospital Association where he serves as
a member of the AHA Regional Policy Board representing Indiana. He
is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives
and a member of the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce.
David

David frequently works with the Health Care Team of Somerset CPAs as a consultant. He has been a successful leader for many years in the health care industry, with extensive experience at the Executive Director and CEO level. David received his B.A. from the University of Colorado and an MBA from National University in San Diego, California (Summa Cum Laude). He also received top honors from the U.S. Army Transportation Officers Basic and Advanced Courses and Department of Defense Comptrollership School. For his work while Executive Director of Saint Alphonsus Physician Services, Inc., David won the Qualis Award and Blue Cross Quality Award. David has worked for years in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. He once ran the Northern California Region of MedPartners, Inc., the largest fully-delegated health care network of both hospitals and medical groups in the nation. After that, David became a Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for MedPartners, successfully acquiring and integrating many medical groups and hospital organizations (50 plus) into the company. David has operated both hospitals and physician groups and knows the nuances of both. He has also served as the interim CEO of troubled hospital organizations and led them to successful turnarounds. David has extensive skill and expertise in assembling and leading high performance teams during stressful situations in health care organizations. He also has deep experience in working with Boards of Directors to both educate and train them in creating a high performance organization. David also brings strong experience to the formulation and execution of strategic plans in health care organizations. The strength brought in assistance of actual execution of the plan is a unique skill set on the part of David and Somerset. His key areas of expertise include:
